About Us

65 years ago, it began with Dadi’s hands. Today, it continues with ours.

Welcome to Vyanjika

You might see us as a sweet brand, but we see ourselves as a living story—a story of four generations, one kitchen, and an obsession with purity.

Our roots lie in the kitchen of an 84-year-old grandmother in Kanpur. She was never formally educated, yet she was a true master of taste. She poured love into every laddu, never realizing she was crafting an art form. Her recipes weren’t written in books; they were written in the smiles of everyone she fed.

The Tradition

Her legacy was carried forward by her two daughter-in-laws. In the year 2000, a pivotal change transformed our kitchen. The family joined the Brahma Kumaris and gave up outside food completely.

Our home kitchen became their canvas. For 25 years, they hand-rolled sweets with patience and strict Sattvic purity (no onion, no garlic), perfecting recipes that no commercial sweet shop could match.

The New Generation

Today, the baton has been passed to the next generation—a daughter-in-law and a daughter. We decided that these recipes, once confined to our family walls, deserved to be shared with the world.

We are joined by our littlest member, Advika (just 3 years old). As she watches with curiosity, she reminds us that tradition only lives on when the next hand is ready to carry it forward.

What Does "Vyanjika"
Mean?

Our name comes from two inspirations close to our heart:
  • Vyanjan (व्यञ्जन): The Sanskrit word for delicacies that bring people together.
  • Advika (अद्विका): Our little daughter, whose name means ‘Unique’.
Together they form Vyanjika—a celebration of timeless recipes, made unique with every generation.

The Vyanjika Promise

When you open a box from us, you get:

Freshly made (Never stored for months)
Natural colors only (No artificial additives)
Wholesome ingredients (Rooted in tradition)
Zero Preservatives

We want you to experience the original, authentic taste of Indian sweets without the guilt of modern factory chemicals.

When you taste a Vyanjika Laddu, you don’t just enjoy a mithai—you become part of our story.

Our Ingredient Philosophy

At Vyanjika, we don’t just cook; we curate. Kiran, our co-founder, is a qualified Dietician. She knows that “tasty” shouldn’t mean “unhealthy.” We are meticulously careful about what goes into your box.

  • The Sweetness: We source our Jaggery (Gur) directly from our village. It is dark brown because it is chemical-free and not bleached to look “pretty” for supermarket shelves.
  • The Fat: We use branded, high-quality Desi Ghee.
  • Complete Transparency: We believe you have the right to know what you eat. If a traditional snack like Mathri requires Maida to taste authentic, we explicitly list it. We never hide ingredients behind technical names.
